MURDER WARRANT SERVED

Revere Police arrested a man wanted for murder in Honduras on Wednesday, June 6.

Detectives working with the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) made the arrest on Allston Street around 8:44 p.m. The man had an international warrant issued from Honduras for murder.

Jose Manuel Cruz Rivers, 37, of 14 Allston St., was charged as being a fugitive from justice (homicide).

 

OVERDOSED ON     ROUTE 1

A Salisbury man was revived with Narcan while unconscious and stopped in the northbound lane of Route 1 on Saturday afternoon.

Around 3:18 p.m. on June 9, police were called to Bennett Highway on Route 1 North for a man passed out in his car and not moving. Officers administered Narcan to revive him and after an investigation he was charged.Jared Rockwell, 31, of Salisbury, was charged with operating under the influence of drugs.

MO-PED ALERT

A juvenile on Winthrop Avenue was arrested after driving an unlicensed mo-ped bike down the Parkway on Thursday afternoon.

Around 6:24 p.m., police on routine patrol spotted two people on a one-seat mo-ped with no registration and no regard for traffic. The men were speeding up the Parkway when police stopped them around Winthrop Avenue.

After an inventory, the driver was discovered with marijuana, too.

A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with operating a mo-ped without a license, unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle and possession to distribute a Class D drug.

 

FIST FIGHT ON SHIRLEY AVE.

A Dehon Street man was arrested on Friday night when police discovered him in the midst of a fist fight with another man on the sidewalk.

Around 11:30 p.m., police were called to the area for two men fighting.

When they arrived, they found the aggressor punching the victim.

Hector Torres, 28, of 42 Dehon St., was charged with assault and battery and three warrants.

 

FLED SCENE OF ACCIDENT

A Lynn man was arrested on Saturday morning after hitting another car on Mahoney Circle and fleeing the scene.

Around 12:02 a.m., police were alerted to the man on Thurlow Avenue speeding crazily. Police caught up to him on Route 1A southbound and found him weaving in and out of traffic. At one point, he crossed over two lanes of traffic and hit a vehicle.

Witnesses on the scene tried to hold him down until officers arrived, but he squirmed out of their grip and fled.

Officers found him a short distance away.

Mynor Lopez, 35, of Lynn, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, operating negligently, operating with a suspended license, disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and leaving the scene after property damage.

Juan Berrios Jr., 42, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of four counts of distribution of a Class B controlled narcotic substance and one count of illegal possession of a Class B controlled narcotic substance with intent to distribute.

 

TUESDAY, JUNE 5

Chen Sibin, 29, of  388 Ocean Ave., was arrested on a charge of assault and battery in a domestic situation.

 

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6

Jose Manuel Cruz Rivera, 37, of 14 Allston St., was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant.

 

THURSDAY, JUNE 7

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested on charges of unlicensed operation of a moped, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and illegal possession of a Class D controlled narcotic substance with intent to distribute. He also was cited for the civil motor vehicle infraction of operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Tanya M. Stephens, 33, of 69 Campbell Ave., was arrested on three outstanding warrants and on a charge of shoplifting (third offense).

Cherise L. Mullen, 27, of Dorchester, was arrested on four outstanding warrants and on a charge of shoplifting.

 

FRIDAY, JUNE 8

Hector M. Torres, 28, of 42 Dehon St., arrested on three outstanding warrants and on a charge of assault and battery.

 

SATURDAY, JUNE 9

Mynor Lopez, 35, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, operating a motor vehicle after his right to operate had been suspended, disturbing the peace, resisting arrest, and leaving the scene of an accident after causing property damage.

SUNDAY, JUNE 10

Anthony C. Iovanna, 30, of 99 Lincoln St., was arrested on an outstanding warrant and on a charge of illegal possession of a Class B controlled narcotic substance.

Damian A. Parker, 30, of 32 Fitzhenry Square, was arrested on two outstanding warrants and on charges of operating a motor vehicle after his right to operate had been suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He also was cited for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

 

MONDAY, JUNE 11

Alex Bustamante, 43, of 182 Hichborn St., was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. He also was cited for the civil motor vehicle infraction of failing to stop for a traffic control sign or signal.
