Vinny’s Food Market, 296 Malden St., sold a $10 million winning ticket to a lucky customer in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$10,000,000 Gold” instant game.

Lisa Gochakowski of Somerville bought the $20 ticket during a visit to the store. She chose the cash caption and received a one-time payment of $6.5 million, according to a Lottery press release.

“I’m very happy for her,” said Angelo Prezioso, owner of the store. “God bless her and good luck.”

Gochakowski came in to the store on Valentine’s Day last Tuesday and purchased a ticket along with some food items.

“Lisa called my mother [Giusseppina Prezioso] at the store to tell us she hit it and I called to congratulate her,” said Prezioso. “She’s a very nice woman.”

Angelo said the store has been a lucky spot for Lottery players.

“A person won $1.29 million in the Mega Millions game and then hit for $10,000 two weeks later,” said Angelo. “We also had a $100,000 winner in Powerball last year.”

Angelo will celebrate his 60th birthday on Feb. 23. “My wife and kids are taking me to Aruba so this was a little extra bonus for the vacation.”

Angelo said the store receives $50,000 for selling the winning ticket.
