Vincent (Chip) Galli

Retired machinist

Vincent (Chip) Galli died on August 21. He was 92 years old.

Born in Boston on September 23, 1923, the son of Luigi Galli and Emmanuelle (DeGrizio) Galli, he was employed as a machinist in Malden at New England Metal Spinners (BOMCO), and retired to Banstead, NH.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, three children, four step children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Victor and Tony Galli of Revere.

A graveside service was held on August 23, 2016 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Gilmanton, NH.

Michael Costa

Carpet Installer, active member of Beachmont Yacht Club

Michael J. Costa of Winthrop, formerly of Revere and East Boston, died unexpectedly at home on August 21. He was 41 years old.

Michael was born and raised in East Boston, attended  Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of the North East Regional Vocational School in Wakefield. He  worked for many years as a carpet installer for several local contractors but for the last several years he worked independently.  He was an active member of the Beachmont Yacht Club.

He was the loving son of John J. “Jack” Costa and his wife, Linda J. (Murray) Costa of Lynnfield; cherished brother of Cynthia J. Lander and her husband, Mark of Peabody, Linda J. Costa and David J. Costa, both of Wakefield; adored uncle of Rebecca Costa of Wakefield, Christine Lander, Joseph Lander and John Lander, all of Wakefield and is also lovingly survived by many cousins and friends.

Joseph Burke

Retired Revere Police Officer, avid golfer and Boston sports fan

Funeral services and interment were held privately for retired Revere Police Department Patrolman Joseph M. ”Joe” Burke who passed away on Friday, August 19 surrounded by his loving family at Massachusetts General Hospital following a brief illness. He was 86 years old.

 Joe was born in Everett and raised in Revere. He was educated in the Revere Public Schools and was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1949. He enlisted in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict, valiantly served his country, was honorably discharged after his service and went on to join the Revere Police Department.

In 1960, he married Blanche L. (King) of Chelsea. Joe remained a long time resident of Revere where he and his wife raised their five children.

Joe earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice at Northeastern University while working full time and being a dedicated husband and father. He was well respected by his peers and within his community and was an avid golfer and Boston sports fan. He leaves behind a family that truly loved and adored him.

 He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Blanche L. (King) Burke of Revere; loving father of Lauretta A. Butler and her husband, Robert of Weymouth, Diane M. Burke, Joseph M. Burke, Jr., Janice M. Meunier and her husband, Joseph and John H. Burke and his wife, Sandra and cherished grandfather of John H. “JJ” Burke, Jr and Alexandra T. Burke, all of Revere; dear brother of Priscilla Sanchez and her husband, Edward of Wakefield and the late Barbara Lindskoog, Mary Halpin and Leo Burke. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Christopher Kennedy

Die hard sports fan and enthusiastic Boston Bruins fan

Christopher J. Kennedy died unexpectedly at his Revere home on August 25. He was 35 years old.

Born and raised in Revere, he attended Revere Public Schools before attending Savio Prep, Class of 1999. Chris went on to further his education at Salem State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and Political Science.

Chris worked for several local retailers in a managerial capacity, most recently U-Haul in Medford. It is known to many that Chris was a “Die hard” sports fan. He was especially an enthusiastic Boston Bruins fan.

 He was the devoted son of Kimberly A. Kennedy of Revere and John H. Hickey and his wife, Marie L. of Somerville; loving father of Miles G. and Valentina S. Kennedy; cherished brother of Amanda L. Hickey of Revere and former husband of Janel V. Kennedy of Nahant; beloved grandson of Donna Kennedy and Louise Dorr, both of Revere; dear nephew of James W. Hickey of Revere, Gary R. Hickey of Wakefield, Kellie Kennedy of Vermont and the late Kristin M. Kennedy. He is also lovingly survived by several cousins.

Rita Frongillo

Homemaker

Rita L. (LeBlanc) Frongillo died on Wednesday August 24 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. She was 82 years old.

The loving wife of Andrew J. Frongillo with whom she shared 65 years of marriage, she was born and raised in Revere, the daughter of the late Peter and Emily (Collette) LeBlanc. Mrs. Frongillo was a homemaker and the loving mother of Denise Famolare and her husband, Patrick of Revere, Darlene Anderson and her late husband, Ricky of Revere, Drew Frongillo and his wife, Gail of Melrose and Douglas Frongillo of Rhode Island; cherished grandmother of Darice, Heather, Erica, Pat, Justin, Adrienne, Ricky, Dan, Ashley, Brittany, A.J. and Carrisa and the beloved great grandmother of Jill, Brayden, Camden, Warren, Autumn, Jackson, Riley and Audrianna. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and was preceded by six brothers and two sisters.

Marie Senibaldi

Of Revere, formerly of East Boston

Marie (Viola) Senibaldi of Revere formerly of East Boston, passed away Monday August 29. She was 74 years old.

She was the beloved wife of Edward Senibaldi; loving mother of Michael Senibaldi and his wife, Nicole of Plainville  and Mark Senibaldi and his wif,e Maria of Tewksbury; cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Giuliana and Joseph Senibaldi; dear sister of Joseph Viola of Boston, John Viola of Chelsea, Annette Goetz of Winthrop, Linda Juppe of Arlington, Susan Hurley of Revere, and the late Phillip and James Viola. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

John Fiore

Of Revere

John A. Fiore of Revere passed away Saturday, August 27. He was 83 years old.

A US Army veteran, he was the beloved husband of Theresa (DeSimone) Fiore; loving father of George L. Fiore of Groton, Lawrence Fiore and his wif,e Sheri of Pepperell, Paul Fiore of Everett, John H. Fiore and his wife, Ann of Wakefield and Patrice Conley and her husband, J.C. of  Wilmington; dear brother of Gloria Chagnon of North Carolina and Leonard Fiore and his wife, Joanne of South Carolina. He was also the cherished grandfather of eight and great grandfather of 12.

Robert “Bob” Malerba of Lynnfield, formerly of Revere, died on August 27.

The beloved husband of Marie Malerba of Lynnfield, he was the devoted father of Dominic Malerba and his wife, Shelya of Danvers, Robert Jr., Eric, and Dean Malerba, all of Lynnfield; dear brother of Richard Malerba and his wife, Linda of Revere and the late Anthony, Michael, and Joseph Malerba; cherished grandfather of Nikhoalla, Dominic Jr. and Brianna, and great grandfather of Olivia. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

His Funeral will be held from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St, Revere on Friday September 2 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
