The Revere Chamber of Commerce has named Bob Upton as its new Executive Director effective May 1, 2016.
As Executive Director, Bob will be responsible for day to day operation of the Chamber of Commerce and to be the face of the business organization.
Kerri Abrams, President of the Revere Chamber of Commerce, said in a statement, “On behalf of the Executive Board of Directors, I am pleased to welcome Bob Upton in his new role. The board recognizes that proactively engaging Chamber members is key to providing value to membership. Bob has the ability to engage with small businesses and to help them grow and develop.”
As an active member of the Revere Chamber of Commerce for more than a decade Bob has served in many roles to include most recently Immediate Past President, Director of Membership and various volunteer committee responsibilities.
Recognized as a strong advocate of Revere and an avid Revere Beach enthusiast he is the proprietor of the popular online publication RevereBeach.com. Bob understands the value of our connection to the Travel & Tourism industry our own local history and that of the greater Boston area including the North Shore. The proximity of Revere to public transportation, Logan Airport and our own Revere Beach make Revere unique for new business development opportunities.
Bob stated “I am honored to be the next Executive Director of the Revere Chamber of Commerce. I look forward to serving the Revere business community by developing new programs and member services and to increase advertising and promotion and social media exposure for our member businesses and non-profits.“
In the coming weeks and months the Revere Chamber of Commerce will be reaching out to the business community and the non-profit community. We will be engaging businesses to join with us and to share their concerns, and business needs.
