Community Forum planned on May 18

“Mayor Arrigo’s Ward 2 Community Forum will be held next Wednesday, May 18 from 6-8 PM at the Garfield School third floor cafeteria. Residents from across the City are encouraged to attend with any questions, comments or suggestions for the Mayor’s Office.

 The remaining Community Forum schedule is as follows:

Ward 2: Garfield School Cafeteria – Wednesday, May 18, 6 PM-8PM

Ward 3: Lincoln School Cafeteria – Wednesday, June 1, 6 PM-8 PM

Ward 4: American Legion Building – Tuesday, July 26, 6 PM-8 PM

Ward 5: Point of Pines Yacht Club – Wednesday, August 24, 6 PM-8 PM

Ward 6: Whelan School Auditorium – Tuesday, October 4, 6 PM-8 PM”

Sobriety checkpoint this weekend

A Sobriety Checkpoint will be put in place somewhere in Suffolk County this weekend, May 14-15. The Massachusetts State Police will not disclose the location but will be set up on a public way. The purpose is to educate the public, detect and remove motorists who are operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
