Police, Secret Service Nab Major Id Theft Suspect

Revere detectives and the Secret Services clamped down on a suspect they believe to be a major identity thief who stole passports and allegedly took victims for more than $200,000.

On March 24, Revere Police and the United States Secret Service arrested Scott Cunha for 18 counts of Aggravated Identity Theft, Passport Fraud, and Mail Theft.

The investigation was referred to the Secret Service after Revere Police detectives identified Cunha in four cases in 2012 and 2013. After a two-year investigation, Cunha was arrested on a federal warrant and is alleged to have stolen in excess of $200,000 dollars.
