A Special Surprise Visit at the Whelan School

R1Hundreds of enthusiastic students at the Whelan School welcomed Harlem Globetrotter Chris ‘Handles’ Franklin on Friday morning for a special surprise visit. Handles was moved by the Ms. Ferragamo’s 5th graders, who had studied African American history and the history of the Globetrotters. His one-hour presentation was as much about stressing education and character building as it was an amazing demonstration of Handles’s roundball skills. Students were mesmerized and excited as the Globetrotter brought students into the performance, here having first grader Germaine Borges (left) and kindergartner Sophia Faddouli (right) spin the ball on a pen.

Here’s a surprise….. Meanwhile see the gas tank that nobody wants to talk about at 525 Beach Street. They pulled it out at 7pm last night, under the cover of darkness because they and their “Superlawyer” Howard Brown got the whole project done without ever telling the public that there was any contamination there. Sounds more like superliar to me. http://youtu.be/VCE3oZL_Cig
