Passover 2012

Revere’s Jewish residents will also visit their respective synagogues and celebrate the onset of Passover on Friday evening.

The traditional seder dinner will follow.

The Passover for Jews is about their deliverance from slavery in Egypt, although it led to their wandering in the Sinai for 40 years.

Passover’s modern message is that slavery will never again be tolerated and that slavery above all is an abomination.

The famous Four Questions are asked and answered by the younger people at the table.

The traditional meal commences and like Easter, it recalls the days of pain as well as the following days of glory.

Our best wishes to our Jewish readers on the Passover.
