“I was very pleased with the way that Elma played,” said Maniscalco. “She was very steady throughout. Victoria and our first doubles also showed some toughness when their opponents came on strong in the second sets, but they held it together to earn the wins.”

Maniscalco and her crew have a busy week on tap as they seek to finish strong in order to qualify for the state tourney. They were set to take on Lynn Classical this past Monday and Swampscott yesterday (Tuesday), the latter a makeup of last week’s rainout. Today (Wednesday) they face Beverly and next Monday they will take on Lynn English in which the Lady Pats will conclude their previous meeting which was shortened by rain two weeks ago and then go right into a new match.
