09-365 Motion presented by Councillor Guinasso: That the Mayor request the Traffic Commission to look into the feasibility of making Graves Road from Malden Street to Davis Street one-way Monday through Friday between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the interest of public safety and at the request of area residents.

09-366 Motion presented by Councillor Guinasso: That the Mayor request the Department of Public Works to repair the sidewalk in front of 69 Pitcairn Street in the interest of public safety.

09-367 Motion presented by Councillor Novoselsky: That the Mayor instruct the Superintendent of Public Works to have the DPW Sign Department to install the following signs: Install two “DO NOT ENTER” signs on Thornton Street at the intersection of Shirley Avenue. The signs should be placed on the south side of the intersection facing Beach Street. One next to Shirley Variety corner and one on the west side of Thornton Street at the corner on the side of the house at 57 Shirley Ave. The locations are marked on the sidewalk. This was originally requested on Work Order #09-18 dated May 29, 2009.

09-369 Motion presented by Councillor Novoselsky: That the Mayor instruct the Superintendent of Public works to have the DPW Sign Department replace the “Weiner” Veterans Memorial on Sumner Street at the corner of Walnut Place. This was originally requested on Work Order #09-18 dated May 29, 2009.

09-370 Motion presented by Councillor Rotondo: That the Mayor request the Building Inspector, Dog Officer, and Health Inspector to look into 190 Suffolk Avenue as being used as an illegal rooming house and breeding of pit bulls. Further, that the Mayor contact the owners, Sutton Funding LLC or Inter-Group Realty & Holding Co. at (617) 895-4045 to maintain the property.

09-371 Motion presented by Councillor Rotondo: That the City Clerk provide each City Councillor with a copy of the City charter.

09-372 Motion presented by Councillor Rotondo: That the City Clerk provide a list of all current duties and tasks under the office of City Clerk. Additionally, what computer systems and programs are currently used in the day to day operations of the City Clerk’s Office.

09-373 Motion presented by Councillor Kimmerle: That the Mayor contact Federal Legislation in Washington, D.C. to investigate as to why Revere was not a recipient of federal stimulus money to put back more police patrolmen on the streets. Most surrounding cities and towns near Revere such as Boston, Chelsea, Everett and Lynn received this stimulus money from the government.

09-374 Motion presented by Councillor Rotondo: That a representative from Ameresco appear before the Revere City Council to discuss the current repairs at the Beachmont School.

09-375 Motion presented by Councillor Guinasso: That a Certificate of Appreciation be awarded to the president, manager, coaches and players of the Championship Cal Ripken Major League Phillies of St. Mary’s Baseball.

09-376 Motion presented by Councillor Guinasso: That a Certificate of Appreciation be awarded to the players and coaches of the Babe Ruth League Chiefs for winning the championship.

09-377 Motion presented by Councillor Guinasso: That the Mayor request the Department of Public Works to trim the tree in front of 26 Temple Street. The tree is covering the light illumination and it is very dark in the area (at the request of area residents).

09-378 Motion presented by Councillor Guinasso: That a Certificate of Appreciation be awarded to the St. Mary’s Flyers softball team for winning the championship.

09-379 Motion presented by Councillor Rotondo: That the Mayor and Superintendent of Public Schools appear before the City Council to update the council regarding the statement of interest for the McKinley School.

09-381 Motion presented by Councillor Rotondo: That the Mayor contact the MBTA to have a representative appear before the City Council to discuss the plan to construct the Blue Line extension that may be placed behind Revere Beach Boulevard and extend through to the Pont of Pines neighborhood.

09-382 Motion presented by Councillors Kimmerle, Novoselsky, and Powers: That a Certificate of Appreciation be awarded to DCR lifeguards, Matt Conner and Candice Ferry for performing live saving procedures on a woman in distress from a possible heart attack on Revere Beach until an ambulance arrived.

09-383 Motion presented by Councillor Patch: That the Mayor request Verizon to check pole #5187 at the end of Johnny Road in the interest of public safety. The pole is leaning and causing concern for residents.
